What We Believe…

We believe in one true and living GOD, creator and ruler of the universe. He rules sovereign over all of His creation. He is infinitely perfect; holy; righteous, loving, and eternally exists in three persons - Father, Son and Holy Spirit who are omniscient, omnipotent, and omnipresent. These three are co-equal, each possessing the attributes of deity.

That JESUS CHRIST is the very son of God; second Person of the Trinity; God manifest in the flesh who lived a sinless life on earth; sent to save us from the bondage of sin. Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He voluntarily paid for our sin by dying on the cross as our substitute (1 Corinthians 1:30). "He is the one who made us acceptable to God. He made us pure and holy, and He gave himself to purchase our freedom." He rose from the dead demonstrating his power over sin and death. He ascended to heaven's glory and will return to earth someday to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. He intercedes for us before the father and it is only through Him that we may come to the Father. (John 14:6) Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

The HOLY SPIRIT, (Comforter, Counselor, Helper) as third person of the Trinity, was sent to us by God the Father in the name of Jesus Christ. The ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify Christ; make us aware of our need for Jesus Christ ; convict us of sin, righteousness, and judgment and draw us to Christ for salvation. The Holy Spirit makes the presence of Jesus Christ real for those who believe in Him. He illumines and opens the word of truth to our understanding, guiding us in all truth. (John 16:13) “But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.” He also indwells in every Christian; teaching, comforting, guiding, convicting, and enabling them to live in ways that honor God. He empowers Christians for ministry. (Acts 1:8) “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” This miracle working power will help us to witness for Christ and advance the Kingdom of God. We believe in the present and interactive ministry of the Holy Spirit and in all the biblical gifts which He continues to give and work in us today. (1 Corinthians 12:4-11) “There are different kinds of gifts… All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and He gives them to each one, just as He determines.”

That Mankind is created by God in His image to fellowship with Him but fell into sin. Man disobeyed God by choosing to go his own way. This disobedience (sin) separated all mankind from God and we need God's saving grace to reunite us, ending our separation from Him. It is only by grace through personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ that man can be justified. ( Romans 6:23). “The wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

SALVATION & ETERNITY comes only through God's saving grace — not human effort — and must be received personally by repentance of our sin, and faith in Jesus Christ. (Romans 3:23) “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” As sinners, we all have to turn to God for forgiveness of sin, and trust that Jesus died to give us new life that we may be born again and reconnected with God. (1 John 1:9) “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

That the Bible (scripture) both Old and New Testament is the only infallible inspired living Word of God. ( Hebrews 4:12) “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” It is the supreme and ultimate authority, final, and eternal and gives complete revelation of God’s will for the salvation of human beings and the source of all doctrine, instruction, correction, and reproof. (2 Timothy 3:16) “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.” It contains all that we need for guidance in godliness and practical Christian living. It is the ultimate guide for our daily lives. We believe that God still does everything today that He did in Scripture. It is the supreme source of truth and it cannot be modified in any regard. (Revelation 22:18-19) “I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book. And if anyone takes words away from this book of prophecy, God will take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.”
